                                        Washing of an Engine 

Q.1. Why washing of an engine is necessary ?(इंजन की धुलाई क्यों जरूरी है ?)

Ans. Latest engines are compact and fitted over in the small area. So it is necessary to clean the engine at regular intervals to remove oily layers, deposition of muck(mud and water) which may causes engine heating and deterioration in engine performance.

(आज के इंजन कम्पैक्ट है और कम जगह में ही फिट हो जाते हैं । इसीलिए यह आवश्यक हो जाता है कि इंजन को नियमित अंतराल पर साफ किया जाए जिससे )

Q.2. Which material and equipment are required to clean engine?

Ans. 1. Car Washer(कार वाशर)

        2. Compressor(कम्प्रेसर)

        3. Diesel Sprayer Gun(डीजल स्प्रै गन)

Q.3. What are the steps to clean/wash the engine ?

(इंजन को धोने/ साफ करने के क्या चरण हैं ?)

Ans. 1. First of all, Keep the vehicle on hard surface.

(सबसे पहले वाहन को कठोर तल पर खड़ा करें ।)

2. Open the bonnet cover and support it properly.(बोनट कवर को खोलें और इसे उचित प्रकार से अटकाएं। )

3. Allow the engine to reach atmospheric temperature.

4. Inspect for external leakage of oil, coolant, gases and locate that area.

5. Disconnect negative terminal of battery for safety.

6. Now use diesel sprayer and spray the diesel only on oily layer of an engine.

7. Now operate the car washer and set the water spraying nozzle at low pressure.

8. Spray water and remove the oily layers and muck water from an engine.

9. Now take liquid soap and apply this in the reach of hand.

10. Again with low water pressure, clean the engine externally.

11. Also clean the bonnet area and engine room.

12. Now start the compressor and give air pressure to remove the water from the electrical and electronic gadgets.

13. Allow the engine to dry.

14. Connect the  battery terminal and start the engine and check for smoother working.

Q.4. What are the precautions to be taken while washing of an engine?

(इंजन की धुलाई करते समय कौन कौन सी सावधानियाँ ध्यान में रखनी चाहियें ?)

Ans. 1. Do not use high pressure to clean engine,

2. Safe guard sensors, spark plugs, nozzle and electronic gadgets from water.

3.Do  not give water pressure when engine is in running condition.

4. Do not clean the engine when engine is hot.

5. Do not blow air at high pressure.

(1. इंजन को साफ करने के लिए उच्च दाब/हाई प्रेशर का प्रयोग न करें । 

2. सेन्सर, स्पार्क प्लग, नोजल और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों को पानी से बचाएं। 

3. जब इंजन चल रहा हो तो पानी का प्रेशर न दें । 

4. जब इंजन गर्म हो तो इंजन को साफ  न करें । 

5. हवा को उच्च दाब पर न चलायें। )
